Running a sustainable celebrancy business

If you've ever wondered if you're charging too much or not enough, you've thought about the sustainability of your business, and that's what this OPD topic is about

Description

Running a sustainable celebrancy business (2 hours)

“How much should I charge?” is a common question asked by celebrants all around Australia. While it is crucial that celebrants do not price fix or collude on their charges, it is valuable for celebrants to discuss how to set a price that will ensure they can run a sustainable business. There are multiple factors to consider when deciding how much to charge, and these factors will be reviewed as well as a formula for calculating the absolute minimum price a celebrant should be charging per ceremony.

After a price has been decided on, celebrants need to invoice their clients to keep cash coming into their business. The ATO guidelines on what to include in an invoice (for those not registered for GST) and a tax invoice (for those registered for GST) will be reviewed.
